He was speaking at the annual day celebrations of Gnanasindhu School in Puravara village in Madhugiri taluk.

Kannada language should be given the utmost importance. Alongside learning the mother tongue the other relevant languages ought to be learnt as well. 

Also, the students should develop patriotic fervour apart from their studies, he added.  Parents instead of making assets for their children should treat them as their assets and provide them with best of the education and culture, observed Principal of Krishnaswami, Government Pre-University College, Puravur.  The education apart from providing information and knowledge should also imbibe our Indian culture and spirituality among the student, said Gram Panchayat president Kupendrappa.
