‘Chilipili’ held for kids
Tiptur, dhns: The latent talent in children can be brought forth by love and encouragement and not by force, DIET lecturer Kamakashi said here.
Inaugurating “Chilipili”, the annual programme of Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe’s Montessori School of Children it has been proved by the Montessori method of education that until the age of 10 a child learns by playing.
Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe President N Basavaiah said, who presided over the function suggested that a teacher should show the tenderness of a mother towards the children.
Kurukshetra play on March 9
Madhugiri, dhns: Kurukshetra historical play will be staged on March 9 under the aegis of Sri Raghavendra Kala Sangha, said Prakash Handralu and Rangadamaiah in a press release.
The play will be staged at 8 pm in the premises of Sri Venkataramanaswamy temple on Sunday.
Annual day celebrations

Installation of idols in Tiptur
Tiptur, dhns: The installation of Sri Vasuki Shivalinga, Sri Aswathnarayana Kalinga Sri Brahmakarkotala Nagadevatas was held on February 27 and 28 at Kasaba hobli Mealapur Eshwar dibba in Tiptur.
Programmes were held for two days under the leadership of Vidwan Gopalakrishnamachar of Bangalore.
On the first day there were Ganapathi pooja nad other programmes.
On the second day there were homas including Pranaprathisthana homa. Vidwan Gopalakrishnamachar delivered a discourse explaining the significance of the holy place. President of Tiruchchi SriLalitha Mahila Samajam Sri Vidvamba Saraswathi Mathaji was the chief guest at the programme.
