RVD, wife own assets worth Rs 145 crore

Former minister R V Deshpande and his wife have assets worth Rs 145 crore. In the affidavit filed by Deshpande before the returning officer in Haliyal Assembly constituency, he has disclosed that his asset in the previous elections was Rs nine crore. This means that in the last five years, their wealth rose by a whopping Rs 136 crore.


Mr Deshpande owns properties worth Rs 47.83 crore and his wife has assets worth Rs 97.74 crore.
The former minister has Rs 1,66,774 in cash and his wife has Rs 12.92 lakh cash. The couple will get Rs 8.94 lakh each in the cash held by the joint family.

The former minister and his wife have deposits of Rs 26.78 lakh Rs Rs 2.94 crore respectively. He holds bonds and debentures worth Rs 21.87 crore in various companies while his wife has at Rs 63.68 crore investments. The couple’s property share in the undivided family is Rs 12.58 crore and the two have National Savings Certificates and insurance premiums of Rs 4 crore.

Worth Rs 59 lakh

They family has gold, silver and diamond articles valued at Rs 59 lakh, agriculture land and site worth Rs 4 crore and residential and commercial buildings worth about Rs 6 crore.

Interestingly, Ms Deshpande has a loan of Rs 2032 drawn from financial institutions.

Wow!!.. If they can officially declare 138 crores as income in 5 years that is average of 35 Crores a year!!. That could be about 1000 times the highest paid employee of the department he was a ministry of.

Thats the way to go..I want to be a politician any suggestions Readers? where I can start??
Maybe I will start today by practising making a false promise to my neighbour or a friend perhaps.
