Awareness programme
Bangalore, dhns: Karnataka Dharmika Souharda Vedike will host “Voters’ Awareness Programmes” in Bangalore, Hubli and Gulbarga on May 2, 11 and 16 respectively. Vedike’s release said that the programmes will motivate citizens to participate in the election process and also create awareness about establishment of a secular and democratic government in the state. Vaijanath Patil flays Cong leaders
Bangalore, dhns: Former Minister Vaijanath Patil has flayed Congress leaders for denying him a ticket.
He told media persons on Wednesday that while the party has given tickets to all eight leaders who left the JD(S) along with former Deputy Chief Minster Siddaramaiah, he has been neglected. “Even though I am in politics for a long time and led several movements, I am neglected”, he added.
Patil said he has not yet decided whether to remain in the Congress or not.

Veerashaiva Vedike for BJP
Bangalore, dhns: Pragatipara Veerashaiva Vedike will be supporting the BJP candidates across the State, said a release from the forum’s president G Mariswamy. He has also appealed the forum members to take part in canvassing in favour of BJP led by B S Yeddyurappa. The Vedike has condemned the non-recommendation of its general secretary Madhuri Mudhol for BJP ticket from Jamkhandi Assembly constituency.
