Study at the UOW

Students interested in studying in Australia, particularly University of Wollongong (UOW) can log  via the UOW website - http://www.uow.edu.au/prospective/international.

The University has and extensive network of representatives in India who can assist students with admission to UOW and also the visa application to Australia.  Students can obtain details of the representative in their city by contacting the University directly.

The main campus is in Wollongong – and all facilities are located on a single campus.  Wollongong is Australia’s 9th largest city and just over an hour by car or train from Sydney. This gives students easy access to Australia’s largest city, Sydney, while having the option to live in the multicultural city of Wollongong at a much lower cost of living.

At the Wollongong campus most courses have two intakes per year - February and July, while the Sydney campus, with programmes offered by the Graduate School of Business (including the MBA), has four intakes per year – January, April, June and September.

Jewellery Designing and Manufacturing

JSS Advanced Jewellery Design Technology Centre is a unique institute set up by the JSS Mahavidhyapeetha with the support of the State government under the ASIDE scheme recently. The Institute is conducting various Skill Development Training Programmes in the area of Jewellery Designing & Manufacturing for unemployed youths (Men & Women), to make them more employable and adaptable directly in the Jewellery Industry.
During the current year, a calendar of training programmes as listed under in the area of Jewellery Designing and Manufacturing is drawn up as an on going programme throughout the year and starts from October 15, 2009.
1. Computer Aided Jewellery Designing  -   3 months
2. Jewellery Manufacturing/Bench Working -  3 months
3. Casting Technology & Metal/Machine Cutting - 1 month each
Dormitory facility is also available for the trainees within the Campus
