Indian couple awarded Alternative Nobel Prize  
Indian couple Krishnammal and Sankaralingam Jagannathan and their organisation Land for the Tillers Freedom (LAFTI) have been awarded the Alternative Nobel Prize 2008 for social justice and sustainable human development, an official said here.
