Bhutto names 4 suspects  
Former Pakistan premier Benazir Bhutto has named four well-known persons, including Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and former ISI chief Hamid Gul, as those who pose a threat to her life.
LTTE can now contest polls  
Sri Lankan parliament has passed a legislation to enable parties like Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and the Karuna faction opposed to the Tamil Tigers to register themselves and contest elections in the country.
Amnesty slams Hamas, Fatah  
Fatah and Hamas security forces and militias committed "grave human rights abuses and displayed a flagrant regard for the safety of the civilian population," the organisation stated.
Roach gives first birth in space  
A Russian cockroach called Nadezhda (Hope) has given birth to the first creatures ever conceived in space. Nadezhda was conceived during the Foton-M bio-satellite September 14-26 flight.
