State team for yoga contest
On behalf of the state, SGS International Yoga Foundation will compete in the national level Yogasana Championship, which will be held by Indian federation of Yoga at Limbadi district of Gujarath from October 28 to 31.
Four teams are being send to the event which include below 10 years (Preeti and Swetha), 10 to 15 years (Ambika, Basavalingappa, Abhishek and Basava Kiran), 15 to 20 years(Arpitha- captain), and 20 to 25 years (Maniraju-captain). Dr Niranjana Murthy is the team manager. Team will be coached by Sanjay Kumar and Anitha for men’s and women’s team respectively.
Performance poetry
EasyLib.com, the online library is hosting a session on performance poetry for children above eight years. The session is conducted by poet and spoken word artist Arka Mukhopadhyay, who will encourage children to draw from the sights and sounds to compose and perform poems.
