The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a plea by Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy, seeking dismantling of the 10-member experts’ committee on the Sethusamudram canal project for its alleged “anti-Hindu” and “anti-Ramar Sethu bias.”“Whatever objections you have, go and raise them with the committee,” the bench of Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and Justices R V Raveendran and Dalveer Bhandari said.
“You come to us when you have objections to the findings and recommendations of the committee,” the judges added. Dr Swamy had filed his plea on Tuesday evening.
The experts’ panel was constituted by the Centre on October 5 to re-examine the feasibility of implementing the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project.
