Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI), is one of the richest, reputed and powerful sports establishments of the world. Cricket, its players and anything connected with the game are the envy of all other sports bodies of India. Many sports are dying for want of support and recognition. As such, BCCI can take up the cause of other sports by coming to their needs. Athletics and other field sports can be developed with the help of BCCI.
Similarly, the lack of proper recognition to achievers in other sports can also be solved by BCCI by suitably rewarding them. The recent Asian Cup win by Indian Hockey players can be suitably rewarded since this is the game which brought name and fame to the country in Olympics.
Viswanathan Anand is the nation's super sportperson in the sense he won the World Championship twice that too by remaining undefeated among stalwarts in his present win. His achievement has brought greatest glory to the country. He deserves special recognition by BCCI for his achievement. With these sort of constructive activities, BCCI and cricket will not only earn goodwill of other sportpersons but also will be doing great service to the development of all sports in India.
