: In a nail-biting finish, RV College of Engineering edged out N M Institute of Technology by just two points in the men’s section of the 2nd M S Ramaiah Memorial inter-engineering college basketball tournament on Wednesday.
The final score read 38-36 as RVCE were closely chased down by their rivals after having secured a comfortable 25-11 lead at half-time.
Srinath top-scored for the winners with 16 points while Madhu too accounted for an equal number of points to top NMIT’s scoring chart.
In another match, SIT overcame DSCE 40-30. The winners trailed 13-19 at half time before they put up a splendid effort to seal the victory with what was in the end a fairly comfortable margin.
Ashwin Shetty stole the show for SIT with 22 points, while Ashwin top-scored for DCSE with 14 points.
