BMIC to get 102 acres  
The state government has given its assent to grant 102 acres of land to Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project.
Metro line to be extended  
T he government has decided to extend the North-South line of Metro rail project (Phase 1). On the northern side the railway line will be extended (5.6 kms) up to Hesaraghatta cross and on the southern side up to Jaraganahalli (5.5 kms).
Dasara procession tomorrow  
The much-awaited procession, the culmination of the 10-day Dasara festivities, will commence at 12.30 pm on October 9 with Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa inaugurating the procession by formally offering pooja to Nandi Dhwaj in front of Kote Anjaneya Swamy temple.
Progress of airport works reviewed  
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Tuesday held a high-level meeting with officials from the infrastructure development department to review progress of various airport/airstrip projects across the State.
Herpetologists to check 'hiss trouble'  
Believe it or not, the city police have sought services of herpetologists in case of any 'hiss trouble' during Jamboo Savari. And, this is for the first time in the history of Jamboo Savari, such a measure has been initiated by the police.
