He said a KMF official had argued in a recent meeting with the District In-charge Minister that procuring milk from this part of the district was expensive and there would be insufficient procurement of milk.
“But when asked would such expenses not be there while selling milk in the region, he agreed to establish a milk route on the basis of the data provided regarding the availability of milk,” Mr Jeevaraj said.
The associates of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project have come forward to join hands with the government. The scheme of providing cows under Vidarbha package was limited to Hassan, but with the expansion of the milk route to Sringeri, Mudigere, Koppa and NR Pura, the facility may be extended to the people of this region too, he said.
