Exports up 31.2% in July  
Showing renewed buoyancy in growth rate countrys export during the first four months of the current fiscalApril to July this yearposted a healthy growth of 24.6 per cent in dollar terms and 27.6 per cent in rupee terms over the same period last year.

High inflation may prompt Reserve Bank of India to hike the key lending rates by another 0.50 per cent in near future, a top banker said even as he projected the countrys economy is likely to achieve an average 8 per cent growth in fiscal year 2009.

Lehman sees GDP rebounding in H2 2010  
In contrast to Reserve Bank of Indias projection of 8 per cent economic growth, the US-based investment banker Lehman Brothers today said the Indias GDP is likely to grow at the rate of 7.3 per cent in fiscal 2009.
