Senior member of the trust Ram Vilas Das Vedanti has labelled Karunanidhi a modern day “Ravana”. Speaking to the media in Ayodhya on Friday, Vedanti, a former MP said: “Even after Ravana was killed, his descendants continue to live on in the likes of Karunanidhi. This modern day Ravana should be slayed. We want his head and the tongue which made such shameful pronouncements on our Lord”.
According to the mahant, his peers are enraged with MK and are one in their opinion that anyone who can get his head deserves to be rewarded with gold worth his weight.
Vedanti, who holds a PhD on the Valmiki Ramayana has also challenged Karunanidhi to a debate on Rama and the Ramayana “anywhere in the country”.
He dismissed MK’s comments on the Lord being a drunkard. “According to Valmiki’s Ramayana, Rama did not even touch honey. He (MK) does not know what he is talking about”.
