The decision of the Central Govt in according A1 Class status to Bangalore with effect from Oct 1st 2007 in view of the increase of the city cost of living index is a significant decision. The state Govt should also hike their HRA and CCA on par with the Central Govt employees. The pressure on the private sector companies in Bangalore to consider hiking HRA and CCA is to be considered. This will be a great help.

State Govt Employees Association should also approach the Govt in submitting the memorandum to the chief minister of Karnataka seeking favourable orders in the matter.
