Postal Sports Club blanked Oriental Sports Club 5-0 in the BDFA Super Division football league in Bangalore on Wednesday.
Einstein led the Postal charge with two goals in a game that had some fiery moments initially.
Play was held up as Oriental players hotly disputed the first Postal goal scored by Einstein in the 23rd minute.
They argued that the ball had gone out of play before the ball came to Einstein but the officials stood firm.
Srinivasan made it 2-0 in the 45th minute. In the second half, Einstein netted his second goal in the 69th minute before Arun Pandey (75th) and Ramesh (88th) completed the Oriental rout. In an ‘A’ Division tie, AGORC and Tilak Memorial played out a 1-1 draw.
Raju scored first for the Accountants in the 4th minute while Christopher struck the equaliser in the 26th. Thursday’s matches: ‘A’ Division: RBI vs Govt Press (1.45 pm; Super Div: ASC vs Royals (3.45 pm).
