Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been a perfect picture of cool and composure in the Twenty20 World Cup, on Wednesday confessed that he had feared Misbah-ul-Haq’s scoop might elude S Sreesanth.
Pakistan needed six runs off four balls in the last over, bowled by Joginder Sharma, when Misbah played that pre-meditated shot. Recalling the shot, Dhoni said, at one stage, he feared the ball might just land behind the fielder.
“When Misbah played that shot, my initial fear was that it might land just behind Sreesanth. So I was not looking on Sreesanth but my eyes were on his hands only,” Dhoni said.
