Torrential rains wash away festive spirit
1 killed, over 60 houses collapsed  
More than 60 houses have collapsed and a person lost life due to the torrential rains that lashed the district in the last two days.
GP secretary suspended  
Zilla Panchayat deputy secretary has ordered suspension of Stalin, secretary of Ghattakamadhenahalli in the taluk, on charges of misappropriation of government funds.
Peace meet held  
A peace meet was held at the police station on Monday to give instructions about celebrating Ganesha and Ramzan.
Govt nod for drinking water project  
Government has approved Rs 4.99 lakh project for supply of drinking water to the town.
Cranes deployed for Ganesha immersion  
Cranes will be deployed for immersion of Ganesh idols in the city, this year.
