Lokayutkta superintendent Venkateshappa paid a visit to City Municipal Council office here on Friday in view of complaints from public alleging misappropriation in development works taken up by the urban local body.

The Lokayukta official scrutinised records relating to works taken up under SFC grants during the periods 2005-06 to 2006-07 and even elicited information from the staff.

He informed that he would visit the places where the projects are said to have been implemented and inspect them before proceediong with the investigation into the allegations.
