'Let rural people avail of medical facilities'

She was speaking after inaugurating an eye surgery camp at the Yaluvahalli Government Higher Primary School. The camp was organised on Sunday by the Shankar Eye Hospital in coordination with the residents of Devi Shettyhalli, Beediganahalli and Yaluvahalli villages.

The people of rural areas should be given facilities like urban people get. Modern technology and facilities should reach out to the rural areas also. Some people are unable to get any kind of treatment due to lack of funds. The hospital staff including doctors and nurses should come forward and help such people, Manjula advised.

Legislator K P Bacchegowda said eye people and organisations should come ahead to donate eyes.

Tahsildar Poornima, Doddamarali GP president Kolavanahalli Muniraju, District Sericulture Protection Board coordinator Yaluvahalli Sonnegowda, opthalmologist Jayaramareddy, programme organiser R Venkatesh, and others were present.
