<p>"In the last few days, an attempt was made by the Congress and the JD(S) to destabilise the democratically- elected government by using money and power. Many MLAs were bought and pressurised. An attempt was also made to misuse democratic institutions," Gadkari told reporters.<br /><br />He said despite all these attempts, the BJP won the trust vote and termed it as a tribute to Jai Prakash Narayan whose birth anniversary falls today.<br /><br />"Democracy has won," he said, greeting the BJP leaders in Karnataka and Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.<br /><br />He hoped that the Centre would not misuse the Constitution and take steps against the state government.<br /><br />Expressing confidence about 100 per cent stability of the government, Gadkari said those who had taken money and had back-stabbed the party have been disqualified.</p>
