<p>"The new courts are in the process of being established. In future, we propose to convert these CBI courts into e-courts," CBI Director Ashwani Kumar said today.<br /><br />He said the CBI has already initiated steps in this direction by providing laptops and cell phones to all its investigators and prosecutors and by providing them training in handling computers.<br /><br />Speaking after signing of an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCOM, the apex association of software and service providers, Kumar said the CBI will further strengthen its partnership with Financial and High-tech Crime Division of the INTERPOL.The CBI chief said the cyber crime investigation cell of the agency has also been designated as a 24X7 contact point for G8 countries.<br /><br />He also said the initiative with NASSCOM is aimed at further enhancing the capabilities of the investigating officers and help high-tech cyber crime centre to achieve excellence.<br />Paperwork will be replaced by easily assessible digitalised files in the courts which will help in speedy disposal of cases</p>
