<p>The incident was reported from 'Appna', Ali's boutique located in Meharchand Market near south Delhi's Lodhi Colony, yesterday when only a saleswoman and tailor were present at the shop.<br /><br />The gang comprising five men and women took just 20 minutes to decamp with garments. Police has registered a case of theft and investigation are on to nab the gang, which appears to be a "professional gang". Her shop is located 500 metres away from the police station.<br /><br />According to Ali, the gang members appeared "middle-aged and a little overweight". She told PTI that she "learnt a lesson" from this incident and installed CCTVs in the two floors of her shop today to ensure that no such incident takes place again.<br /><br />"First a couple came to the shop. They checked out some clothes but did not buy anything saying they were expensive. Later the same couple and another group of three persons, including two women, came to the shop.<br /><br />"They pretended not to know each other. They engaged the saleswoman and confused her by talking about prices. One of the group then went upstairs. When the tailor went upstairs they asked him to get them mineral water and gave him some money," Ali said.<br /><br />The tailor said they can have water from the shop but they insisted getting the same from outside as they were allergic to normal water. However, Ali alleged, the group appeared to have taken out the plastic cover of the garments and hid it inside their sweaters.<br /><br />"Nobody would suspect them because they were overweight," she said. They all suddenly left the shop and fled in a Maruti car. Ali claimed that the stolen suits could cost around Rs 2.5 lakh.</p>
