An assurance to this effect was given by World Bank officials in Washington to a visiting state delegation led by Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Shobha Karandlaje, according to an official press release. The first phase of the project was implemented in 11 districts.
The project provides for a public participatory drinking water supply scheme in rural pockets of the State. The World Bank also agreed to consider release of grants for taking up lake and road development in rural areas, the release stated.
