<p>The class X student of a school in Paschim Vihar was apprehended in Vikaspuri yesterday while he was allegedly travelling in the stolen motorcycle bearing the number plate of his own two-wheeler.<br /><br />"He stole the motorcycle from Vikaspuri a week ago after his two-wheeler gifted by his father was stolen," V Renganathan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), said.<br /><br />The student, a resident of Vishnu Garden, allegedly managed to steal a motorcycle from near Lal Dental Clinic in Vikaspuri a week ago and replaced the number plate with his own motorcycle number, he said.<br /><br />On verification through ZIPNet, an official internet database, it came to light that the chasis and engine number of the recovered two-wheeler was the same as that of the one stolen from Vikaspuri.<br /><br />"He was passing through Vikaspuri when our constables noticed him. They asked him to show the registration papers of the motorcycle which he could not do," Renganathan said.</p>
