<p>Sunny Kumar (20), student of a private engineering college here, was arrested by Cyber Cell police yesterday for hacking third party accounts to book tickets for others, Inspector General of Police (Cyber Cell), R K Mishra said.<br /><br />As he had no money in his account, Sunny gave heavy discount to his friends and acquaintances to earn money, Mishra said, adding, internet banking was used for committing the crime.<br /><br />Sunny generated the tickets in the name of persons who wanted booking. Action was taken against him after police received complaints from several persons that their bank statements showed money withdrawn for railway and air e-tickets without their knowledge, the IG said.<br /><br />Sunny hails from Bihar and has been living in a rented house here, Mishra said.<br />Cyber Cell officials are scanning his bank account, internet and cellphone history, he said, adding, it is not known yet how many bank accounts were hacked by him.<br /><br />Initial investigation suggest he hoodwinked visitors to ATM chambers by telling them that the machine was defunct and would get their ATM card number and PIN number for hacking the bank account, the IG said.</p>
