"We are of the view that the proceedings in the special Rae Bareli court and CBI court, Lucknow, should be held on a day to day basis so that the trial is not unnecessarily delayed and the culprits are brought to book," senior member of the board Zafaryab Jilani told PTI.
This among other issues related to the Babri case will be discussed during the meeting of the legal cell of the Board slated for January 9 in New Delhi, he said.

"The board is not happy with the delay in the Rae Bareli court where the case comes up for hearing after 15 days and as the hearings on the title suits were taken up on a day to day basis for quick disposal, the same format should be followed," Jilani said.

In his personal capacity as convenor of the Babri Masjid Action Committee (BMAC), he said would write letters to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi, among others, drawing their attention to the slow pace of progress in the case and seeking their help in speeding up the trial, he said.
