Shroff-ward Martinique eases to victory in Bahrain Trophy

Stephane Pasquier-ridden Martinique, schooled by Pesi Shroff, eased to victory in the Bahrain Trophy over five furlongs, the plum event of Friday’s races here.

Snow Blaze (P Mulrennan up) came in a distant second, three lengths behind. Favourite Mountain Wind, steered by Richard Hughes disappointed the punters by finishing third in a race with a field of four horses.

In the Indian Air Force Trophy, Dashrath Singh-steered Silver Sands was the winner.
