<p> The protesters alleged that the officers, hand in glove with land grabbers have fabricated documents to grab the grazing land in Kallipura village of the taluk. They alleged that an extent of 40 acres and 15 guntas of government land in survey no. 40 located adjacent to National Highway 4 has been alienated by creating documents. <br /><br />Hundreds of farmers have been till the land for years together and have even filed Form 53. The clandestine act has snatched the livelihood of the dalits, dependent on the land, they said. <br /><br />Demanding initiating criminal action against the officers, the protesters accused the revenue officials of colluding with land grabbers and even threatening the poor and the down trodden.<br /><br />Venkatesh, Anjinappa, Nagaraj, Rajappa, Vijayakumar, Srinivas and others took part in the dharna.</p>
