Two call girls are from Kyrgyzstan, while the remaining, including the pimp, belong to Uzbekistan. “We received information that a racket was operating in Lajpat Nagar,” a police officer said.
A decoy customer was sent to the pimp on Wednesday. He was told that the girls would cost between Rs 25,000-30,000.
A deal was struck by paying Rs 5,000 as advance and the pimp took the decoy inside the premises.
Raid
“A raid was conducted and all the women were arrested. The girls are all in their early twenties and their monthly income is in lakhs of rupees,” the police officer added.
The pimp was staying in India for the last two and a half years and operated in Delhi and neighbouring towns. She shifted her base frequently to avoid detection.
Tourist visas
“They had come to India on tourist visas with their duration of stay ranging from two to six months. They also take large number of leather goods and garments back home when they return as these articles fetched them huge profits back home,” the police officer added.
