The government should therefore take quick measures to implement the Permanent Irrigation Project on the lines of the Dr Paramashivaiah Commission Report, the activists demanded.<br /><br />The State Government should work to protest the tanks in the district by forming a Tank Development Authority. It should keep aside funds in the current budget for implementation of the permanent irrigation project, they said.<br /><br />District committee activists Anjaneya Reddy, Rajakanth, Gangadhar, Taluk Dalita Sangharsha Samiti members G V Gangappa, Adinarayanappa, Nagaraj, Narasimhappa, Iskulappa and others were present at the meeting.</p>
