The rally that was launched at H D Kote in the district on March 17 entered the city through Srirampura, on the fifth and the last day.
Most of the activists who included students held placards reading ‘Conservation of water is responsibility of all’, ‘Use water judiciously for better tomorrow’, ‘Rejuvenate underground water level’ among several others, attracting the attention of passers-by.
Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) and Nairmalya Vahini Samsthe at H D Kote, had organised the padayatra to create awareness about the significance of water, conservation and the epidemic it could spread.
Rally route
The rally passed through Nachanahalli Palya, NIE College, KSIC, Nanjumalige, Siddappa Square, K R Circle and Hardinge Circle before culminating at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC and RI).
