<p>The deceased, Bhavani Rao (52), of Kanoor Kadekeri, suffering from high fever since July 19, was admitted to the Government Hospital, here. <br /><br />A blood sample was taken from him, as the fever did not subside even after three days.<br />Alleging that Rao did not receive proper medical attention at the Government Hospital, his relatives shifted him to Manipal Hospital. There, the treatment was unsuccessful and Rao died on Saturday.<br /><br />Doctors at the Manipal Hospital have stated in their report that the patient has died of rat fever, family members told <em>Deccan Herald</em>.<br /><br />The family members of the deceased have demanded action against the doctors at the Government Hospital for not diagnosing and treating Rao properly, even though he was in the hospital for six days.</p>
