<p>The Lokpal bill will be introduced within the first two working days whereas an omnibus bill combining both compensation and rehabilitation aspects of land acquisition might be placed in the House on the last day (September 8), said Parliamentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal here on Friday.<br /><br />“We want to bring the Lokpal bill in Parliament at the earliest so that it can be immediately sent to the Standing Committee for further scrutiny and discussions,” he said.<br /><br />Bansal said Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh has informed him that he might need some more time to come out with the omnibus land acquisition bill combining both compensation and rehabilitation and resettlement aspects. “The endeavour of the government will be to introduce it on the last day,” he said.<br /></p>
