This ran contrary to her allegations in a police complaint on September 8 that he had assaulted her and threatened her with a revolver.<br /><br />Darshan was arrested on September 9 and produced before a magistrate who had remanded him to juidicial custody.<br /><br />Several leading Kannada film personalities had tried to bring about a patch-up between Darshan and his wife.<br /><br />Police had yesterday requested the court to drop IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder) filed against Darshan who is now undergoing treatment for asthma and jaundice in a hospital. <br /><br />Magistrate Venkatesh Hulagi rejected Darshan's bail plea saying he didn't have jurisdiction to handle cases falling under IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder).<br />Darshan will now have to move the sessions court to seek bail.</p>
