<p>In a major rejig of the services on Monday, the BMTC has reduced the number of trips to 1,000 from the initial 1,200. <br /><br />With few takers for the service, the Corporation has suffered losses to the tune of Rs two lakh a day since the launch of Namma Metro on October 20.<br /><br />The revised schedule will come into effect from Tuesday.<br /><br />“We have received feedback from commuters and traffic police. A majority of the suggestions came from within the BMTC and following a discussion we planned to introduce changes. We will wait and see whether the changes are sustainable,” said M P Prabhudas, Chief Traffic Manager (Operations).<br /><br />The BMTC has cancelled all short-distance trips around Metro stations and has extended the reach of existing services to Metro stations. <br /><br />The feeder service will also cover Mysore Satellite Bus Station with route number 121 passing through MG Road Metro station and terminating at Shivajinagar.</p>
