<p>The Park Road house of Girish Kumar, a suspended treasury assistant, was yesterday confiscated under the provisions of Bihar Special Courts Act 2009.<br /><br />The special vigilance unit has lodged a DA case against Kumar in 2006 for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, they said.<br /><br />Earlier, the Bihar government had confiscated the palatial house of suspended IAS officer S S Verma on the outskirts here and opened a school for poor students.<br /><br />Confiscation proceedings of some more officials including former State Drug Controller Y K Jaiswal, Revenue Officer Yogendera Prasad Singh, Engineer Srikant Prasad, former DFO Bhola Prasad and former DGP Narayan Mishra and former Rajbhasha Parishad Director B N Chowdhary, have also been initiated already, they said.<br /><br />The state vigilance link wing has instituted a total of 87 DA cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, out of which confiscation orders have been issued by the vigilance court in five cases.<br /><br />Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had given his nod for prosecution of 11 officials of various departments on November 11.</p>
