<p>The Police Commissioner on Wednesday issued a press release regarding complaints about autorickshaw drivers not ferrying passengers to their destination and charging more than the meter fare and similar offences.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The release said that the passengers can send an SMS to 52225 to complain against the auto drivers.<br /><br />The SMS, for example, can be sent as AUTO REF KA01XY1234 MG ROAD TO KORAMANGALA 5.30 PM for refusal and AUTO OVER KA01XY1234 MG ROAD TO KORAMANGALA 5.30 PM for overcharging.<br /><br />The press release said that a total of 656 SMSes were sent between July 2011 and January and that appropriate action had been initiated against the erring drivers.</p>
