<p>A contingent of 124 women officers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Thursday left on a year-long peacekeeping mission in Liberia.The team is headed by Commander Karuna Rai. It will be part of the UN Peace Keeping Force.<br /><br /></p>.<p>They were sent off by CRPF Director Genaral K. Vijay Kumar at a ceremony at the CRPF Academy here.<br /><br />The unit will help the local police to maintain law and order and guard the premises of the president of Liberia and other VVIPs.<br /><br />The contingent has been put through seven weeks of specialized training.<br /></p>
