<p>The second Rashtriya Ranga Utsava, the colourful and rich nine days theatre festival concluded in Mudradi on Sunday amidst the folklore, magic and in the presence of several renowned personalities from different fields. <br /><br /></p>.<p>A huge procession was taken out from Adishakti temple to Rashtriya Ranga Utsava venue which was marked by folklore performances by the folk teams from across the State including Kollegal,Mysore, Chamarajanagara, Dharwad, Kampli, Bangalore and Chikmagalore. The procession was followed by the stage programme which was presided over by MLA H Gopal Bhandari. <br /><br />Speaking on the occasion, one of the chief guests, Union Corporate Affairs Minister Dr M Veerappa Moily said that he was inspired by the Ranga Utsava and advised to open national theatre school in Mudradi. He also assured of lending all his help and support for such an initiative and expressed his willingness to perform on stage if given an opportunity to work under popular director T S Nagabharana. <br /><br />In the valedictory address, State Film Academy President and noted film director T S Nagabharana expressed his happiness for having given an opportunity to be part of Rashtriya Ranga Utsava which is organised in a rural area like Mudradi. Taking theatre fests to rural places by pooling together scattered Kannada, Tulu, Telugu, Marathi drama troupes should be role model, he said.<br /><br />Special Ranga Gowrava award was conferred on Udupi Zilla Panchayat Katapady Shankar Poojary for his outstanding achievement in the theatre field. <br /><br />The awards were also conferred on District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Ambatanaya Mudradi, entrepreneur Nityananda Pai Karkala, Zilla Panchayat member Manjunath Poojary, Harish Bharadwaj and others.<br /><br />The organisers also felicitated the representatives from Dharmasthala Kshetra and Udupi ZP for donating Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively for the festival.<br /><br />Rajya Nataka Academy President Dr B V Rajaram, Mumbai based entrepreneur Diwakar N Shetty, SKDCC President Rajendra Kumar and others were present.<br /><br />Magician Kudroli Ganesh and team performed magic show after the valedictory programme.<br /><br /></p>
