<p>Mayor D Venkatesh Murthy and his Deputy L Srinivas on Monday said the work on the flyover connecting Nayandahalli to Hosakerehalli would be completed by July 1.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He was speaking to mediapersons during the inspection of the work at Nayandahalli on Tuesday.<br /><br />To speed up infrastructure projects at the Nayandahalli intersection, he said he would hold a meeting with officers of Namma Metro, BWSSB, BBMP, BDA and Bescom.<br /><br />He was accompanied by a group of corporators and officers from various civic agencies during his visit to Nayandahalli, which has become a challenge of sorts for the civil engineers.<br /><br />At least three grade-separators and an elevated Metro line are coming up at the intersection. The pothole-riddled stretch makes motoring a nightmare for commuters.<br /><br />To add to the mess, there is a 12-foot deep open manhole, heaps of soil on both sides of the road, construction materials and scaffoldings littered all over the place and sewage flowing through major stormwater drain.<br /><br />The BWSSB officials, who were also present at the spot, told the Mayor that the water and sewage utilities had been shifted. <br /><br />On learning that the high voltage electricity lines had not been shifted fully, which were hindering the project, the Mayor directed the Bescom officials to intensify their work and pave the way for early execution of the projects. <br /><br />On request from some corporators, he directed the BBMP Engineer-in-Chief B T Ramesh to asphalt the road near Nayandahalli. <br /><br />The team left for Gali Anjaneya Temple which gets flooded every monsoon. The officers told the Mayor that the flyover running over the stormwater drain near the temple would be completed in two months.<br /></p>
