<p>Seven pilgrims, including three women, were killed and 27 others injured when a bus carrying them overturned and fell into a ditch in Bihar's Gaya district today, police said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The incident took place when the driver of the bus, carrying about 50 pilgrims, lost control over the vehicle and it broke through the railings of a bridge before falling into a roadside ditch on National Highway 2, DSP Akhtar Hussain said.<br /><br />While three pilgrims, all women, died while they were being taken to hospital, four others succumbed to injuries during treatment, he said.<br /><br />The injured pilgrims are undergoing treatment at Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Manpur village, Hussain said.<br /><br />The pilgrims were on way to their native place in West Bengal's Purulia district from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, the DSP said.</p>
