<p>Newly appointed Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa on Saturday alleged the SAD-BJP government in the state was pursuing anti-people and anti-poor policies and vowed to fight these tooth and nail.<br /><br /></p>.<p>On his first visit to the city after taking over reins of the Punjab Congress, he alleged the state government was neck deep in corruption and the common man’s life had become miserable. The law and order had deteriorated in the state and anti-social elements were ruling the roost, Bajwa said. <br /><br />The Congress would play the role of a responsible opposition and would corner the SAD-BJP government on all issues relating to the people of Punjab, Bajwa said. The reshuffle in the Punjab Congress Committee will be held soon keeping in view the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he said here. <br /><br />On the recent ruckus in the state Assembly created by the Congress, Bajwa said his party legislators were provoked leading to the protest.</p>
