Metrolife lists out some of the interesting events .<br /><br /></p>.<p>‘Loop Zero’ <br /><br />Australian percussionist Ben Walsh will present his new show ‘Loop Zero’ at Hard Rock Cafe, St Mark’s Road on June 23, 8.30 pm. The piece is a rich, high-octane club event which will take the audience to the world of multimedia installation and live-music performance. <br /><br /> ‘Loop Zero’ is inspired by many odd instruments that spring forth from Ben’s imagination and delivers a solid dose of his trademark high energy drumming style. Ben performs on instruments of his own creation with technological innovations designed by Machina aka Kim O’Sullivan who will be accompanying Ben on this tour.<br /><br />Soothing tunes <br /><br />Vishesha Fine Arts is organising a vocal concert by Prince Rama Varma on June 22, 6 pm at Augusta, Brigade Gardenia, JP Nagar 7th Phase. He will be accompanied by Avaneeswaram SR Vinu, B Harikumar and S Karthick. <br /><br />Talent promotion<br /><br />Gaana Rasika Mandali will present a ‘Talent Promotion Concert Series 2013’ at the Indian Institute of World Culture, BP Wadia Road, Basavanagudi on June 22, 3.30 pm. This will have Carnatic music concerts by youngsters. Thanmayee Krishnamurthy’s vocal concert will be at 3.30 pm. She will be accompanied by Aditi Krishnaprakash on violin, L Subramanian on mridangam and BS Raghunandan on ghatam. The second concert will be a violin duet by Mysore N Karthik and Sumanth at 4.45 pm. They will be accompanied by Vinodh Sharma on mridangam and Sunaad Anoor on kanjari. The final concert will be by K Bharath Sundar at 6.15 pm. He will be accompanied by Apoorva Krishna on violin and Akshay Anand on the mridangam. The concert concludes at <br />8.15 pm. <br /><br />Nostalgic memories<br /><br />‘Power of As’ will pay tribute to the legends of Bollywood — Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna — with their musical concert ‘Sada Bahaar Sitare’ on June 23, 6 pm at Chowdaiah Hall. Songs will be performed by playback singer Mohammad Aslam and Hamid Khan. Singer Shabbir Kumar will also render a few songs.<br /><br />Sufi evening <br /><br />‘An Evening of Sufi Rock’, featuring the celebrated Sufi singer Zila Khan, will be held on June 22, 7 pm, at DPS, Whitefield grounds. Daughter of the legendary sitar maestro, Ustad Vilayat Khan, Zila Khan has performed on the national and international stage with the likes of ‘Sting’ and ‘Bono’.<br /><br />Violin notes <br /><br />A violin duet concert by Ranjani and Gayathri will be held on June 23, 5.30 pm at Bangalore Gayana Samaja, KR Road.<br /><br />‘Hidden in...’<br /><br />‘Hidden in Plain Sight’, a solo theatre performance, will be staged at Jagriti Theatre, Whitefield on June 22, 8 pm and June 23, 3 pm and 6.30 pm. It is performed by Mallika Prasad and written, directed and designed by Mallika Prasad and Ram Ganesh Kamatham.<br /><br />Carnatic vocals<br /><br />A Carnatic vocal music concert is being organised on June 22, 6.30 pm at 140, 1st H Cross, Sri Sharada Samskruthika Sangha, Basaveshwaranagar. Harsha and Adarsha will be performing with their team of violinists and mridangam players.<br /><br />Bharatanatyam<br /><br />A duet bharatanatyam dance recital by Suresh S Kaushik and Sowmya K Shridhar will be held on June 23 at 6.15 pm at Seva Sadan, Malleswaram.<br /><br />‘Ananya...’ <br /><br />Ananya is presenting ‘Ananya Samarpana – The Asian Festival of Classical Dance’ on June 22, 5 pm at ADA Rangamandira, JC Road. <br /><br />Mango paintings <br /><br />Vidushini Prasad will exhibit her Madhubani paintings, based on the theme ‘Mango’ at Jagriti Theatre, Whitefield till June 23, 11 am to 7 pm.<br /><br />Veena strains <br /><br />Keshav Samskrithi Sabha is organising a veena recital by RA Dakshina Murthy on June 22, 6 pm at Samskrithi Bhavan, No. 556, 11th Main Road, ISRO Layout.
