<p>Kannada writer Ko Channabasappa, social worker Sulagitti Narasamma, veteran actors Lokanath and Girija Lokesh are among the 58 persons selected for the 2013 Kannada Rajyotsava awards.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The announcement was made by the State government on Wednesday.<br /><br />The government has decided to give away the awards to 58 persons with outstanding achievements on account of the 58th Kannada Rajyotsava. An advisory panel headed by Prof U R Anantha Murthy shortlisted the candidates, while the roster was finalised by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.<br /><br />The award carries a cash price of Rs one lakh, a 20 gram gold medal and a citation.
