<p>A late rally from South United couldn’t prevent them from going down 1-2 to HASC in their Super Division match at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Monday.<br /><br />South United’s Senthil scored from a corner in the 88th minute but HASC hung on to clinch all three points. <br /><br />HASC scored through Gopi in the 14th minute before Karthigeyan doubled the advantage in the 68th minute. <br /><br />HASC started the better of the two sides and took a deserved lead after Mahendra Mani fed Gopi down the left. Gopi beat his marker before shooting past ’keeper Kabir. <br /><br />HASC went in search of extending their lead but a lack of a final ball kept letting them down before Karthigeyan struck midway in the second-half. </p>.<p>The goal came after Kabir fumbled a Xavier Vijay Kumar shot and the former was on hand to blast home the rebound. <br /><br />South United got one back nearing the end but it was too little too late. <br /><br />Result: ‘A’ Division: BUFC: 2 (Naresh 23rd, Rakesh 35th) bt Bangalore Kickers: 0.<br />Tuesday’s fixtures: Super Division: MEG vs RWF.</p>
