<p> The government is considering a proposal to lease out government land to companies and the individuals for stone quarrying in the State, said, Mines and Geology Minister Vinay Kulkarni.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He said this addressing the gathering after accepting felicitation by District Stone Quarrying and Crushers’ Owners Association at Alur Venkatrao Bhavan here on Sunday.<br /><br />“There are stringent regulations in mining industry. The government will take neseccary steps to ease the stringent laws and the rules for the benefit of those involed in stone quarrying and mining industry. There are several niggling issues pertaining to the extraction of sand, stone and the transportation of the same. I have spoken to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the requests made by those involved in mining industry during the last Legislature session. The government will soon take a decision to ease the regulations and simplify the extraction and transportion of sand and stone,” Kulkarni said.<br /><br />Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister C S Shivalli, district president of the association K F Hatti and others were present.<br /><br /></p>
