<p>Addressing a news conference, resident of Sajipapdau S Abubakar Sajipapadu said that though High Court has issued a interim stay order on ongoing illegal mining at Sajipapadu village, following intense protest from the residents, it has been going on in various places unabetted.<br /><br />“We are going to stage a distict-wide protest against the same soon against transport of sand from our district to Kerala State,” he said and added that a Mines Adalat which was scheduled at Deputy Commissioner’s office on December 25 too was postponed due to pressure from mine lords.<br /></p>
