<p> Accountants General’s Office Recreation Club (AGORC) emerged champions in the BDFA ‘A’ Division on goal difference after they topped the table with 22 points from eight matches.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Though they were tied on points with Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), AGORC assured their promotion with a superior goal difference of 14 as compared to ADE’s 12. <br /><br />Meanwhile, in an ill-tempered Super Division affair, newcomers Ozone FC, spurred by Anto Xavier’s brace, posted a 3-0 victory over Students Union at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Tuesday.<br /><br />The game began in drab manner with both sides lacking incision in front of goal.<br />But slowly, tackles flew thick and fast but the referee was on top of the situation and quelled any chances a physical confrontation, though at the fag end, Students Union’s Babu was given his marching orders after receiving two yellows within a matter of seconds.<br /><br />Goals were the only thing lacking in what turned out to be a messy first half.<br />After the break, Ozone looked the more determined of the two sides as they retained possession well and attacked with purpose. Striker Anto broke the deadlock for Ozone in 58th minute when he controlled a delightful cross from right back Prateek Joshi and finished with a well placed shot. <br /><br />Ozone doubled their lead five minutes later, as Anto completed his brace with a firm header past Students Union custodian Thomas.<br /><br />Sanju Kumar killed the contest in the 84th minute as his drive from 25 yards out took a massive deflection off Babu and looped into the net.<br /><br />In the first minute of stoppage time, Babu received a booking for a rash tackle on Ozone’s Joshi and was almost immediately received his second yellow for showing dissent, capping off a miserable outing for Students Union.<br /><br /></p>
